YesVets Program
Purpose
YesVets is a Washington State campaign created to recognize businesses that show their commitment to veteran employment by hiring veterans into their workforce. Statistically, veterans who gain rapid re-employment re-integrate into civilian life more quickly and have retention that is 2-3 times longer than non-veterans.
Benefits
List your business in a statewide database as a veteran-friendly employer
Become eligible for the Hire-a-Veteran award and receive a decal to display at your business
Veteran's come with accelerated learning curve, leadership, teamwork, diversity, and inclusion-in-action, efficient performance under pressure, respect for procedures, technology, and globalization
YesVets Decal
- Businesses receive a YesVets window decal and a Year decal from a WorkSource Veterans Representative at an appropriate venue such as a Chamber event or company gathering of employees.
- YesVets decals and a decal indicating the year of participation are to be prominently displayed at the employer's business location.
- Subsequent year decals are awarded if businesses continue to hire or employ veterans. These year decals are displayed chronologically in rows to the right of the basic decal.
